FPV College - the sky's the limit!

WHAT AND HOW?

You will receive 12 to 15 hours of training to get a thorough understanding of FPV drones. The training will not only help you learn how to fly the drone, but also how it works, how to assemble and configure it.

During the training, we will review the principles of FPV drones, learn the basics of controlling them, practice using the FPV simulator, explore the process of assembling and configuring the drones, and finally learn how to control your own FPV drone.  

Participants can expect a 12 to 15-hour programme, divided into 4 or 5 different live meetings live.

The training is for people aged 16 and over., participants aged 14-15 (inclusive) must be accompanied by an adult. 

        Programme:

  • Meeting 1 - During the meeting, participants will learn the basics of FPV drone theory. Participants will learn how such drones work and what they consist of, and will be introduced to the capabilities of FPV drones and their different types. Participants will also start to learn about the specifics of controlling FPV drones. 
  • Meeting 2 - Participants will improve their piloting skills in a virtual FPV simulator and learn how different flight modes work. During the meeting we will touch the topic of soldering, explain the theory - what and how. 
  • Meeting 3 - Participants will first learn how to solder and then apply their knowledge to build their first drones. During the meeting we will reveal the subtleties of FPV drone parts and introduce participants to different drone systems and their operating principles.  
  • Meeting 4 - The main goal of the meeting will be to get a drone you have built into the air. We will start with the setup, and once it is done, we will go flying. There will also be a debriefing with tips and pointers on what's next. 
  • Meeting 5 - This meeting will be restricted to participants who have chosen individual drone kits, as we will need to spend more time on the construction and configuration of these drones. 

Each participant will be provided with a drone kit of their choice during the training. The aim of the training is to take home an assembled drone kit and the knowledge of how to use it. Participants will be able to choose from 2 possible options:

"Whoop" drone kit with FPV video system:

Whoop" drones - a lot lighterand smaller than standard drones with 5-inch propellers, offer the same control capabilities (flying in acro mode), making it ideal for learning to control large FPV drones. They have exactly the same parts as standard sized FPV drones, but they are smaller. Their small size is ideal for learning to fly safely, especially indoors, and such drones are also highly impact resistant. These drones may seem toy-like at first glance, but they should not be considered toys. They consist of serious components, are controlled by a serious radio and have a 5.8ghz video system, and are configured with serious applications that support advanced features. In summary, the whoop drone is a smaller version of a large FPV drone that allows affordable access to this modern hobby. 

With our whoop kit, you can fly at home and in the yard. You can enjoy 4-5 minutes of flight on one battery, and the kit comes with up to 4 batteries. You will be able to control the drone with FPV goggles, directly from the drone's camera, making you feel like you're sitting inside the drone like a real pilot.

5 - 7 inch custom drone kit: 

The diameter of propellers is measured in inches. 5 inches is the standard size of FPV drone propellers. Drones of this size are divided into two main groups: race and freestyle FPV drones. Before choosing one of the categories, you will first need to decide whether you are interested in racing drones or in doing various stunts and filming with the drone. These larger drones are more powerful and faster. However, it is important to note that high power and speed comes with higher risks and these drones are more difficult to control. 

After choosing this kit, you will be asked to answer a simple questionnaire to find out what your needs are, so that we can give you a quote for the most suitable individual drone kit. 

Thiskit is for people who already have a basic understanding of FPV drones. For newcomers, we recommend starting with the whoop kit.

Sekanti grupė: Lapkričio 9, 15:00 – 19:30,  11, 13 ir 15 dienomis, 18:00 – 20:30, bei papildomas susitikimas, for completion of individual drones only – Lapkričio 16, 11:00 – 14:00 (šiam susitikimui galėsime sutarti ir kitą datą pagal galimybes).

*Asmeniniai mokymai (+200€): jūsų patogumui galime pasiūlyti asmeninius mokymus (laikas ir vieta derinami indidualiai su dėstytoju).
